CELEBRATION OF GRANDPARENTS DAY IN THE VIDYALAYA

SPECIAL PEOPLE DESERVE A SPECIAL DAY

Grandparents are someone with silver in their hair and gold in their heart.’

Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, the keepers of traditions. Grandparents are the family’s strong foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour them– KV2 AFS PUNE Primary Section celebrated Grandparents Day on 24^th November 2018.

          The day began by Welcome the Chief Guest by Vidyalaya Principal Shri Gurpreet Singh. Thereafter the students sang welcome song for their grandparents. 

 All grandparents were welcomed by the head master Mr.Sanjay Kumar Patil with a gift. Then our little ones dedicated a sweet poem to their dadimas and dadajis followed by a couple of dances The chief guest for the programme was Mr. H S Aglawe a retired Airforce Officer and now a  Lawyer by profession along with Mrs. Seema Aglawe Retired teacher of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.

       To balance the tones set by the events thus far, we had Games in which grandparents participated with great zeal and a solo dance followed by a Folk Dance performance. The Chief guest gave away prizes to The winner Grandparents from the Game which brought a twinkle to their eyes. Appropriate music and enthusiastic grandparent-grandchild combinations made this even a runaway success. The Principal’s address left everyone speechless.

        The School Staff also interacted on a one-to-one basis with the guests, during the high tea arranged for them. The general mood was one of exultation and everyone seemed truly happy.
It was a successful event indeed, and the School as always would be pleased to organize many such more events.

The day ended with the speech of the chief guest Sh H S Aglawe who patted all the staff members of Vidyalaya and praised all the items performed by the Students. He said that all his children and grandchildren are the product of the Kendriya Vidyalaya. The Kendriya vidyalaya is the pioneer in the field of education. He praised the work of Mr. Gurpreet singh Principal and Mr. Sanjay Kumar Patil for receiving the IARDO Academic Leaders Award 2017.

The day was successful due to the tremendous efforts of Mr. sanjay Kumar Patil Headmaster of the school and the primary staff of the school.
