We are pleased to inform you that on 6th Oct 2018 at IIHM Pune Campus, Viman Nagar at 10am we have organised "Young Chef India Schools Junior 2018 Competition" which is open for students between the age group of 9 to 13 Years only.
I have hereby attached the nomination form which needs to be duly filled in with all details. Every School can nominate 2 participants maximum to represent their school.
Prelims Elimination Round 1:- This is a starter and main course round. The Basic set of crockery will be provided by IIHM for plating.
- One plate each of a veg or Non veg starter and main course.
- The starter of this round can be a non – cooking dish
- Basic Indian,Oriental or western cuisines can be made.
1. Basic protein such as chicken, Eggs, Paneer.
2. Basic Indian spices
3. Vegetables of the season including starches
4. Common herbs such as coriander, mint, basil etc.
5. Basic pastas
6. Basic proprietary sauces
7. Basic Indian pastes.
Student chefs from IIHM campuses on the following criteria will judge the precooked dishes:
1. Organisation of the station-10
2. Composition of menu -10
3. Presentation -20
4. Taste-20
5. Texture-20
6. Knowledge of the dish-10
7. Difficulty level -10
The top scoring candidates from this round will progress to the Grand Finale which will be held on a later date.
